The Glycan Advantage

One glycan signature. Many membrane targets. One ADC.

A single glycan-directed ADC binding a tumor-associated glycan (branched Lewis B/Y) displayed across many different membrane proteins and receptors on a cancer cell.
GlycoNex's anti-glycan ADCs recognize a tumor-associated sugar signature displayed across many different membrane proteins on cancer cells. Because the target is the glycan rather than any single protein, one antibody can reach a broad range of tumor targets — including markers that conventional protein-directed ADCs cannot address.

Target-agnostic reach

The antibody binds the glycan, not one specific protein — so a single ADC can address a tumor-associated signature carried by many different receptors and membrane proteins at once.

Harder to evade

Because the target is the sugar rather than any one protein, a tumor cannot escape treatment simply by downregulating a single receptor.

Beyond protein targets

Glycan-directed targeting can reach tumor-associated markers that conventional protein-directed ADCs are unable to address.

Our Business

Three Core Business Areas

Innovative Drug

GlycoNex's core capability is discovering antibodies against tumor-associated carbohydrate antigens. These anti-glycan antibodies anchor a pipeline of ADCs, pro-antibody ADCs, and bispecific ADCs — led by GNX1021, now in Phase 1.

Service (CDMO)

Contract development and manufacturing from a 50 L + 200 L GMP antibody facility: cell-line development, upstream and downstream process development, scale-up, and technology transfer for external partners.

Biosimilar

Two biosimilar programs: SPD8 (denosumab biosimilar, Phase 3 complete), co-developed with Mitsubishi Gas Chemical; and SSR, a biosimilar for an autoimmune disease, developed in-house.
